boss ac adaptor polarity=?

ok did the search thing,running on diminished capacity(computer died yesterday,this is an old one the wife lashed together),i'll go fast=bought boss pedal,have yamaha ac adaptor,looks like it should work but doesn't,no markings on pedal,box or paperwork(manual),,so what IS the polarity Boss?

Do you have a digital multimeter handy?
You can check the polarity of a DC power source that way.

All Boss have 9V DC negative tip, as clearly written on the bottom.

hmmm interesting

ok,,looking very closely(with flytying glasses) under a strong light it appears the `male'pin is a smaller diameter than the adapter`female',it's an OD=20 guitar pedal multi FX,no markings of polarity showing unless it's under the USB label(if that's what it's called?)that looks like the music store put on it.

ah well,can't practice anyway the wife has turned my music corner into a computer repair station.

i'll find an adapter one way or another when i get time(using rechargable batterys>it uses 6) thanks all(super busy workday here) thnx again
