Should I bother? I'm worried that im on a G.A.S. attack for pedals now that I have a solid board started.

Boss AW-4... its the auto-wah, right?

I'm not sure I have much use for it, but I want to model my pedalboard off of Justin Chancellor.

Think i should put the $50 into the pile of cash i'll need for a bass whammy

there never was an AW-4...only the 2 and 3.

I used to own the AW-3, it was a cool pedal, but it sucked lows and sounded very thin live, the overall tone was ok though, if you did plenty of EQ'ing after.

For $50, you may aswell go for it, I'm sure you could get that for it on ebay if you don't like it.
