I'm so Confused with this pedal thing which one is the best it needs to be 9v like these units so I don't need a separate adapter.

The best for what tone? ... according to whose tastes?

There is no "best", except that which you decide is best for you.

A lot of great filters out there. Check into the Source Audio BEF, it's wicked cheap and versatile and actually has a few phaser settings.

I have owned all 3 you mentioned and now use a Source Audio BEF.

I'd also encourage you to check out 3Leaf's new Proton - pure AWESOME.

I had the aw-3, traded for the mxr. The boss has a lot of sounds, but there all kind of harsh sounding. The mxr has pretty much one sound, but man is it a cool one sound. Thick and bubbly. I always say quality over quantity.
