Boss Bypass looper questions: LS-2 or something else?

My signal path involves a trigger sidechain.

If I bypass the effects that are before the sidechained effect,
will the signal still flow through the chain?

I am looking for a product that does not mute a channel but merely selects routing options.

If the LS-2 mutes instead of being a boost/line selector it will be unsuitable.

What products are also worth looking into?

I built my own effects loop pedal. It has two loops and a tuner output that sends the signal to the tuner only (keeping the tuner out of the signal chain). I'm currently building a new pedalboard and am planning on integrating the switching into the board itself. It's gonna be sweet.
