Anyone know what the problem could be? Do you have to go through both outputs? I did notice it a little when i turned all the knobs all the ay up.

What model is it? My guitarist has a CE-3, and it just doesn't do anything for bass, no matter the settings.

I had one, you only have to run through one of the outputs. Is the LED light coming on?

If we're talking about the CEB-3: So long as that's the mono output you're using. If nothing's plugged into the mono output the second output doesn't get a signal.

Well if it's working right all the knobs up makes the bass sound like something not of this world...maybe the battery is dying?

odd..

Is your bass's volume all the way up? Mine sounds kind of weak when I turn down from the bass.

Yea. The volume on my amp is very low. would that make a difference?

I don't think the amp's volume would make a difference...sounds to me like it's dead, unless we've missed something.

That's the first dead Boss pedal I've ever heard of.

Can you take it to the store and test it side by side with another one?

I thought my CEB-3 was broken until I realised I was plugged into the wrong input.

I know you probably already have but check or try the other input.

Also the CEB-3 I found to be very subtle. You have to turn the E level way up.

i just got a CEB-3 too. it's just a very tasteful effect. if you crank all the knobs it's unusable anyway, so just tone it down from there and see what you get. mine works on the E string if i turn down the cut knob without getting muddy.

it's not really intended to totally change your tone, it just adds some nice depth.

After messing with it, it does work. I just didint expect it to be so subtle. arnt they suppose to make it sound like it is echoing?

That would be reverb. Chorus tries to emulate multiple people playing in unison. If you play fretless, this effect can also be achieved with a whammy.
