Today i went to a local music shop and bought a Boss CS-3 Compresser Sustainer pedal home. Its quite cheap for my budget and thats the only ones i can get hold of in UK.
Like alot of user in TB said, this thing is noisy. I think my amp didn't even warm up which make it even more noisy and background noise. After a few warm up song they sound still to get better.
According to the manual and boss, this thing can do compress and limiter depending on which way you turn the sustain knob. If i turn it clockwise anything pass 12.00 you can hear more unwanted noise which is pretty bad if you use it as a compressor. I turn the knob the other way and use it as a limiter. I dig my strings so limit the volume is alright. Overall this thing is not too bad for the money i pay for so i'm not gonna complain.
My settings for the compressor sustainer are:
Volume - Personal thing
Tone - 9.00"
Attack - around 1.00"
Sustain - 11.00"
And my pedal orders are:
Compressor Sustainer ---> Boss Bass EQ ---> MXR M80
Get decent sound and sound good overall, everything sound even.
I either run the Boss EQ or the MXR. Compressor stay on all the time.
