Boss DD-3 Delay SOUNDCLIPS

Ok so the MXR Carbon Copy didn't come yet. But I figured I'd do some clips of the DD-3 I'm using now so I could compare my own clips later objectively, and I may as well share them with you guys. First off I don't like the sound of the DD-3 which is why I'm replacing it. But it is a good, simple little delay that can get the job done. So here's a few different sounds.

First is me trying to use some chorus and delay to get a jazz fusion kind of sound. No, I'm not a jazz player and it shows. But Killing Me Softly is actually a pretty good place to start if you want to get your feet wet with chordal soloing. Check it out:

The second clip is easily the coolest thing I've recorded today, I think. It's a psychedelic delay and I recorded through a cheap computer microphone to get a psychedelic lo fi filter kind of sound:

Next I tried to make a riff that might sound cool with delay. This is the best I could do. Yeah I know, I suck.

Ok here's one thing I use the delay for in my band. It's just simple, droning some D's, the delay helps get that feel and take up some more sonic space.

And last but not least some more Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) this time with delay! If you can't tell I really like Jimi Hendrix.

And again I'm trying to critique my own sounds, so any input you might have is appreciated.

very cool, I use an Ibanez De7 delay. I like it because I've had it for five years now and am very use to its programmability.
I like your sound, it is very distinct in every clip I've heard of yours. No bad mouthin on my part

That second clip is very cool indeed. Have you tried using the dd-3 for any "ping-pong effect" delay lines? if you use good right hand technique the sounds you can get are very cool and the dynamics of your hand hitting the strings can make for some very cool pseudo-drum rhythmic stuff.

Can't say I've done the ping pong thing but one thing I totally forgot to do that I wanted to try was to use the delay like Brian May! Not that I can play anything like him... but it certainly would be cool. Maybe tomorrow with the Carbon Copy.
