Can the boss dd3 be set for self oscillation?
I sold my dd7 for a used dd20 but it does not self oscillate.

typically its only analog delays that will self oscillate

You can't get them to oscilate, but I figured out something similar which is kinda neat. Instead of turning back the feedback level to decrease the repeats, roll back the level as the volume increases. The repeats distort...it's pretty cool.

I have a Subdecay Proto Series Echobox, DOD FX91 & Digitech PDS-1002 that all self-oscillate nicely. All of these are digital- the DOD & Digi boxes have internal trimpots that allow this but the Sub does it stock(AFAIK- I got it use & haven't popped the hood). Oh yeah- I also have an old Ibanez Soundtank Echo Machine that SO's HUGELY- this pedal is convinced it's analog.

The DD-3 will most certainly self-oscillate when you turn up the repeats all the way. It will create droning chaos.
