Boss DD-6 atomatically turns on

So when I plug in my pedalboard, my DD-6 delay pedal engages the effect automatically. Not a big deal, Just a minor annoyance to remember to press the pedal before I start playing to turn off the delay. This is the only pedal I have that does this.

Anyone else had this happen?

Happens with my OC-2. Boss pedal default, I guess.

Happens to all of my Boss pedals... The GEB-7 did it sometimes, but the DD-6, CEB-3 and BF-3 always do it. Meh... I don't really mind. I have them all in the VB-jr. loop so it's not an issue because the loop is off when I turn on the power.

Besides the TU-2 tuner, that's the only Boss pedal I have. I figured it was just a Boss thing, but wasn't sure.

Seems to happen with the Danelectro food series pedals too (at least the Tuna Melt tremolo, Chicken salad vibe and Fish & Chips EQ I got last night.

Happens with my DOD FX72 and sometimes my Phase100.

My CEB-3 doesn't do it either!

My Line 6 Echo Park delay does though.

I don't know if every Boss pedal does it... but my PS-3 does that.

Honestly, I can't remember if my old Boss pedals did that, too.

My only boss pedal that does it is the DS-1. I have a digitech whammy and a proco rat that are automatically on as well.

It's really a tiny nuisance.

May I use "Atomatic" as a band name please?

Seriously though, my Boss SYB-3 and DD-5 do this as well. My ODB-3 and TU-2 do not however....

Actually not only Boss pedals do this. My EBS pedals do this sometimes as well. Still, what's the big deal?

Funny...I always wondered about this...I have the Boss DD6, boss ODB3, boss BF3, and boss CEB3 All turn on when power applied to pedalboard except the Boss CEB3 chorus. In the manuals, it says that they will turn on when AC is applied. I wonder why the CEB3 does not turn on? N E ways....its always tripped me out.
