Boss DD-7 or EHX SMM/H?

So, I've owned this Boss DD-7 for about 2 months, and I feel like it doesnt really suit what I need/want.

After wafting about the internet (and TB) looking over information and watching videos, it seems as if the Stereo Memory Man w/ Hazarai has all the quirky fun I'm looking for (Presets, spacey echos, Reversible delays, looping with pitch and speed variable, ease of use tap tempo, etc)

However, I have heard that while the SMM/H has loads of quirky goodness, its very difficult to dial in a tame, stereotypical delay. First hand accounts of the Memory Man would be nice. If theres another substitute I'm overlooking please tell me.

There are few pedals that have been discussed as extensively in the last year here as the SMMH. Ample sound clips are available in the wiki.

It is definitely cool but I am still excited by the rumors of an XO DMM

You'll have no problem dialing in a typical delay with the SMMw/H it just may take a little extra time since there are more knobs to fool around with. You also have a lot more controll over the tone of your delay. The DD-series and SMMw/H aren't to comparable. The SMMw/H seems to be able to do a lot more than the DD-? but it can't do the self osillation that the Boss can do.

Sounds like the SMMw/H is for you.

While the wiki has a few clips of the spacey goodness I desire, there is one clip which reassured me that a normal delay sound is possible.

Thanks for all the input and feedback, it made this choice easy.
