so i got a df-2 for free because my brother gave it to me, would this work for bass? i dont have an extra cord and so i havent tried it.

Nope. There's no way. It doesn't have the word 'Bass' on it and all the manuals use the term 'guitar'.

Don't even try you'll be disappointed and have wasted your time trying to have fun.

It's worth picking up another cable to try it out. Don't expect the feedback note to lock in on the fundamental with a bass. The basic distortion may or may not be your cup of tea. Remember that you have to hold the pedal down to engage the simulated feedback.

It's a fun noisemaker if you're into stuff like Yo La Tengo or My Bloody Valentine, but likely completely useless if you play classic rock, blues, country, funk or jazz.

try it, you might just like it!
There is no such thing as a pedal that doesn't work for bass, it's just that you haven't found the right context for it .............yet!
