dont get it. buy an old DOD FX25, for less money..the boss one is absolutely terrible, and possibly the worst filter i've ever heard on bass. its fine for guitar though. i used to own it, just recently sold it back on ebay...

I'm borrowing it and I can vouch for tomvelsor's statement. Massive loss of low-end. I'm also borrowing a DOD FX25B, which has a blend knob to dial in the right amount of your clean-signal. Much better.

How about the extra $$ for a MXR Auto Q, sounds good but a lot of knobs and switches to play. I guess I am the sort who prefers plug and play.
If you do, don't make the same mistake I made - make sure you get the M-188 Bass Auto Q and not the M-120 Auto Q that's meant for guitar! I've been trying to shift it on ebay and have had to relist it twice so far - this one ends in 22 hours, wish me luck!
