Boss FBM-1 Fender Bassman Pedal

Sign in to disble this ad
Has anyone tried one of these? My logic being since the Alembic FX-1 is in essence a Bassman pre-amp (minus the point to point wiring, mil spec parts, so on...) would this sound like an Alembic or all the other amps based on the Fender tone-stack? If it does sound similar then I'm buying one for sure.

There is sound samples of the boss fbm-1 on bass on the boss website. on the interactive demo section of the side, they got sound samples of the boss fbm-1 on bass if you select bass pedals on choose a style and then go to alternative set-ups there you can select the boss fbm-1 and hear it being demonstrated on bass. oh and F.Y.I, the boss fbm-1 sounds pretty cool on bass.

I haven't tried the FBM-1, but I did own the FDR-1 (the deluxe reverb emulator) for a while, and I can tell you that it sounded VERY close to a real deluxe reverb. So I would say that it is a good assumption that the FBM is similarly close to the Bassman.

I didn't find that Bassman pedal too beefy in the low end when I tried it out.

Cool info. If it does mimic the Fender stack I wonder if the knob positions work the same way. Thanks, I'm check the website.
