Did a search, can't find any reviews of this: Boss Stomp box: Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb Amp. Anyone tried it? |

I played through the guitaramp with a bass this pedal emulates and I loved the tones I got from it.
I'm actually considering buying the guitaramp.
FWIW, someone posted on here that the FBM-1 (the Fender Bassman emulator pedal) sucks on bass. So I don't have high hopes for it. |

If you don't get the balance correct between your amp and pedal - there is an apparent volume suck problem, easily correctable. You can get a fantastic overdrive sound for both bass & guitar. The clean is a beautiful warm reverb - analogue sound, it also has a tremolo effect which can changed by tap tempo when held down for two seconds. However unless I'm wrong, it can't be toggled on/off, you would have to get down and turn the knob to activate it and then tap for the tempo, the only down side I can see so far. It's hard to believe it's a COSM pedal it sounds so warm. It's basicly a 3 in one pedal. Perhaps some would prefer three different pedals. My impressions so far. I like it. |

I still might get the guitaramp instead... just for home practice low volume use and/or recording. |

And it only searches right here on Talkbass. AKA, its a bass review. It just happens to be mine as well. |

it was very helpful - and thanks to the other guy that brought up the point about the built in cabinet simulation.
The clips were great - a very resourceful post from a "bass head" indeed.

Your review is brilliant thanks. The Jury is still out for me on it. The only other disadvantage I fell on yesterday was that if you turn your amp or guitar up as the gig demands louder - you can go into overdrive, which i understand is what the pedal does, but not what I want, - you do need to tweak the pedal again. So I'm thinking of the Boss RV5 or have you any Boss (old or new) suggestions - got to fit in the Boss BCB Case

I think it should fit in the BCB case, but I'm not positive. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
