I like the 50hz slider, that is a great frequency for boosting the low end without adding mud and the GEB 7 sounds good to me in that range.
I thought I was also going to like the 4.5khz slider since I often boost in the 3-5khz range with a parametric, but have not found the Boss to sound very good up there to my ear. Kind of tinny / clacky rather aggressive / edgy if that makes sense... Maybe I need to experiment with it a bit more, those tiny sliders add a lot of boost with just a small movement. Would be interested to hear if anyone else has similar opinion.
For the 40 bucks it cost me used I can't really complain. I currently have it setup for big bass boost / moderate HF cut for the occasional reggae tune...
I had it for a couple months in between a crappy and a better amp.
then it kind of lost purpose for me. But on the other hand, it may be quite useful to you for whatever you might need!
for the money, especially used, it's a pretty good pedal!

I just threw mine back on my pedalboard. Comes in handy from time to time on weird stages. I generally don't make huge adjustments with it, but it's OK for minor tweaking.
Anybody ever compare the GEB-7 to the MXR 10 Band EQ? I know the EQ points are different, but I've been curious if it's any more useful since the GEB-7 allegedly uses bass specific frequencies.

jimdunlop.com says the 10 band can be used on bass, not sure how trustworthy that is tho.
