Boss GT-10B Connections and Settings

I recently purchased a Boss GT-10B and while very impressed with the floorboard, I am a little confused when trying to connect to a bass rig. I have noticed the configuations in the manual and have tried them with some success. My rig consists of a Ampeg SVT 4 pro and a SWR Goliath III. I do have have a BBE 362, Furman Line conditioner and a Korg Tuner in the mix.

This thread is being created to see how others are connecting the GT10-B to there rigs and how it works. (ie. Effects loop only, 4 cable option ect...) In addition, I think if we can all post connections and GT10B settings it may serve as a learning tool for others trying to use this effects unit. Please try to stick with this format.

1. Bass Preamp Type: (If diffrent than GT10B):

2. Bass Amp: (Power amp or Included Pre/ Power Amp)

3. Combo or Cabinet Type: If applicable

4. Connection: (ie... send and returns/Gt10B L/mono out to Preamp input ect....)

5. GT10B settings: (Any settings on the GT10-B that are needed of may help sound and operation)

6. Other Comments: (what you are trying to accomplish by this connection ie.. using current bass rig and adding some effects through effects loop)

I hope this thread helps those who have litte experience with this board apply options and gives those experienced FXers some new ideas.

1. Ampeg SVT 4 Pro
2. Included with SVT 4 Pro
3. SWR Goliath III 410
4. 4 cable (10B return to svt send/10b send to svt input w/ passive selection on svt/ L/monoout to svt return/ Bass to 10B input)
5. Have to set send and return setting on GT10B to direct and turn on for Bass to work rig to work with out effects. This setting seems to have to be done on every patch.
6. Works, Volumes are ver diffrent when switching between GT 10B and rig (no fx). Ithink you can fix that in the system setting section.

I thonk I would like to just front the head and set up a bypass that doesnt take away form my bass signal so I can use my head as primary and add floor baord once in a while for a diffrent sound. Any Ideas?
