Wonder if this means Boss is finally getting around to releasing a GT-8B or something?

saw that deal also. I just picked up the Line 6 POD X3 two weeks ago and am ready to throw it against the wall. I am not a tweaker.

I was just getting ready to decide on several pedals to start with for a board and then I saw this.

IME the GT-6B takes a fair amount of tweaking to get it to do exactly what you want--but after that point it's easy to use and super-configurable.

I've been tempted by the GT-6B before. I've tried the Line6 thing a number of times and it has never really grown on me. Maybe a different "modeling" device. I don't really have a need for amp/cab modeling, or a lot of effects, but maybe if I had a good multi I'd be more adventurous. Some of the tunes we cover could use some effects for some more authenticity.

I heard the whammy is pretty good on this unit.

I am going to be sending back the new Line 6 Live X3 as I have little patience for tweaking. I was looking into separate stomp boxes but am willing to consider the GT-6B.

While looking at what I want in a pedal board I noticed that several of the pedals I was interested in we're the CE-5, BF-2 & maybe an ODB-3. I already have the TU-2 and NS-2.

2 questions...

Is the Boss unit any easier than the Line 6 Live for getting a decent sound after a few adjsutments?

How does the Boss GT6B compare to other Boss pedals (chorus, flange, dist/od, etc)?

Thanks!!!!!!
