Boss GT-6B effects peddle

Sign in to disble this ad
Have been using this peddle for a little while now. When I bought it I was told it was user friendly. Sometimes it's not.I find when I'm using the flanger or the chorus effect or any effect for that matter it seems quiet through my amp. I use an ampeg SVT2PRO with an 8x10 cab. If I disengage the effect I'm using the natural volume of the amp is really loud. Am I not using the board properly or is this peddle made to go direct to the sound board. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank You. Looking forward for input.

Have you read the manual? I believe it has its own volume knob, and the expression pedal acts as a volume pedal too.

+1

Check the level knob on the back by the output jack. It took me a few tries to figure that out when I first got mine too.

also check the seperate volume settings for each effect. my friend that sold me my gt6b gave me some good advice... spend about 4 hours with this thing before yu try it in a band setting. once you get to know it, its a peice of cake.

fyi i have used mine as a direct box with great results. but my favorite (if the sound guy will give me 2 lines) is to mix the gt6b with my demeter tube pre out.

Hi PBass64,
You may not realise that the volume & other knobs on the Boss GT6-B & (Gt-8) may be set in a "change now" or "change after" mode. If your volume (& all other control knobs) is for example: set at 10. The actual knob may be visually at 12pm - you turn it up - it does not function. You need to lower it one digit below it's previously programmed setting and then turn it up, & wow. The GT6-B is a wonderful Multi Board. It sounds "so analogue." I know it's not. Not talked about enough on here.
