Boss GT-6B SOS loop ?

The manual is not really clear on this function,does anyone know how to use this?, Does it only work in some patches?

One more thing I am a Guitarist who switched to Bass for the sake of keeping the Band together and actually have alot of fun on Bass. I have made my own Patches that sound pretty good but would like to know there is a Thread or site somebody knows of with good advice or patch ideas for the Boss Gt-6B

The SOS on the 6B works just like most all the other loop pedals ... it has a very short record time though ... 3.5 sec max, I think, in the lower quality mode & only 1.5 sec in the high quality mode .... not enough time to do much IMHO
