Boss GT-Pro Effect processor with bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi folks

Anyone knows the Boss GT-Pro Effect Processor? Itīs for guitar...

but the question is... Can I use it for bass? The effects like, synths, phaser, flanger, reverb, delay, octave, distortion, wah,all others and the amps simulations will suck in the bass? Or will be good?

It appears to be a rack-mount version of the GT-line. I don't see why you couldn't use it with bass. Some of the amp models of course are going to be different, although that could be a good thing.

The only caveat I see is that when I use distortion and overdrive with bass, I like to mix the clean signal with the dirt. I'd download the manual from the boss site to check if that's true with this unit in case you have the same preference.

You could always score yourself a GT-10b for less cash, and have the added value of foot controls built-in.

I have a gt pro and most effects have a mix setting for clean signal
If I had to buy something again it would be a gt10 b
I just keep the pro because my son uses it when playng guitar over the bass amp.

You can use anything for bass, but the stuff made for bass is usually tweaked to handle the low frequency better. Read the manual and make sure it is full range. I am looking into the GT10 and GT10B to replace my ART Nightbass. The GT10 sounds great on bass, which means the GT Pro should sound just as good. Like neuromancer says, it is just a rackmount version of the GT10. But is has some extra connectivity choices in the back. for me, if the GT10B has the same effects as the GT10 and handles the bottom better, I'm sold.

the problem with gt-6b is that the unit donīt have an usb device...

and iīm looking for and unit with usb...

and for the priece of the new gt-10b I think that the gt-pro is better, at first look has mor stuffs, and i like the midi controller stuff, cause i use a rack, ending my pedalboard analogic pedals iīll just let in my effects my dunlop bass wah crybaby, boss syb-5 (synth) and digitech bass synth (that green pedal), and will blow away my boss me50b because for me it real sucks to get good effects, and flanger, phaser and the synths in 50-b really sucks...

so thats my doubt.... boss gt-pro, or maybe the gt-6b...

What do you people think about the line 6 bass pod xt pro and the xt live?
Is better than the boss? People say that for amp modeling, line6 is better, and for effects are not so good....
