Boss GT10B - Need some serious help!

Sign in to disble this ad
So I picked up the gt10b about a month and some ago with the intention of finally adding some effects to my repertoire. I haven't had the time or need to really figure out how it works, but when I did plug it in after buying it, it worked and I was impressed.

Yesterday I decide to update the driver, not sure if it was needed, but when plugging it into my computer and following the instructions, the driver did not upload into my gt10b. In fact, when I run it through my amp now, or ever phones or the bypass, I am getting no signal. I do have it set up correctly as I have used it before.

Now with some back story come the questions;

1. Is there a master reset that I can roll back the driver to the original?

2. Anyone have any trouble with 64 bit windows 7 and the gt10b?

3. What my goal is to have different banks of user patches. For example, One bank, say User 1, will have a clean channel and 3 different synth sounds. I want all my banks to have different but similar tones with one clean channel so I don't have to switch banks mid tune.

How can this be achieved? I changed setting on the gt itself, but I couldn't rename them. I have the librarian program but I can't get into it because of the driver issue. What is the best way to approach this?

Thanks!

Consider posting in the master GT-10B thread, I'm guessing you'll get more help there.

No idea.

I've used Win7 32bit, but not 64bit. So I cannot help there.

That sounds totally reasonable. You'd simply need to create one "clean" patch, then save it to the first patch in each bank you plan to use. It's as simple as pressing WRITE then selecting the location and pressing WRITE again (off the top of my head).

Potentially easier may be Gumtown's floorboard software, but you need to the GT-10B to connect to your PC first.

Note that you can always contact Roland for support directly. Phone is always best.
