BOSS GT10B Tap tempo?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm hoping that some of you experienced owners can clear something up for me.

I don't yet own this unit, but have been looking through the manual. From what I can see, there is no method available for adjusting the speed/timing of modulation effects "on the fly". I did see one reference to adjusting the duration of the delay effect by using the little "CATEGORY/ENTER" button, but can't imagine that this would be a very "stage friendly" method.

I'm hoping that I've overlooked something. Is there no tap tempo function?

I got this pedal

it's pretty simple actually, you just assign "tap tempo" to one of the ctrl pedals - and you are good to go. this works for both delays, flangers, and every thing else you can actually time with bpm. you just have to set the effect speed to bpm - you can set this to whole/half/quater/eights/sixteenth notes

Cool. Thanks. I had a hard time finding that info in the manual, but assumed that the function must surely exist.

The GT-10B is very programmable, any pedal can be assigned to do anything, you can assign up to 8 things to happen at the same time when pressing a pedal.

This machine is definitely on my "must have" list. Too bad the damned list is so long.
