boss hyper fuzz fz2 with a volume pedal?

So I want to start adding effects to my sound and was thinking of starting with a fuzz pedal and a volume pedal.

From what I've gathered the boss hyper fuzz fz2 is in my price range (20 bucks on ebay)

although I haven't found a volume pedal yet, thinking dunlop.

any input on this would be great.

also I play an active 4 string run through 100 watt combo with passive/active inputs if that helps at all.

The FZ-2 is a great sounding industrial fuzz think very NIN etc it will be fine with the equipment you have but it won't work like a traditional fuzz with a volume pedal where it cleans up as you roll the volume back.
