Boss Limiter Enhancer problem

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm not sure is it me or the pedal have some problem.

I also use the boss compression sustainer but that pedal had been modded so the bass on that is good too and i really happy with the result as well.

But when i use it along with the boss bass limiter it seems the tone or volume is loss for some reason. The limiter definate kicks in when i engage it but when i alter the settings like volume and thereshold, it seems not much is happening.

I was wondering could it be my limiter is faulty or broken?

I feel my compression sustainer done the job better on the limiter bit, so i might replace it with another pedal like an octaver or delay when i have money.

It's generally not a good idea to run those two in series, at least not without significant manipulation. Check the FAQ linked in my sig to learn how to use them. If the output of the CS-3 is fairly squashed, the limiter won't have anything to work with. If the output of the CS-3 is too high, the limiter will be engaged all the time, resulting in loss of tone and volume.

I think the only problem is that you're using a boss bass limiter.
