Boss LMB-3 mods ?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking for two potential mods for my LMB-3 compressor/limiter.

1. I want to cure the 'pop' noise that is an acknowledged problem with these pedals

2. I want an indicator of when it starts (and stops) compressing. Could be anything that works ... 2nd led ... change of colour on single led ... single led that flashes or stay constant.

I've searched but the only thing I turned up was this amusing (but ultimately incomprehensible) Japanese translation.

Anyone got any ideas of where to look ?

Andy

Thanks, but I'm looking for these two fixes specifically ... bit of a tall order probably, but that's what I'm after.

"I bought one this year at high school. This enhanced sense of LMB effect compliance with the string of dead easy without money, but only to the school amp, I remember fairly and helped revived because it will sound like. Such "drug Kitsuke" but he used his only memories of.

Monotonically seasoned "chemical seasoning" and bored in an easy, much of the noise is very regrettable.

So ... surgery! ! !"

I don't know whether to laugh or just shake my head! It almost seems mildly pornographic! Ahh, those wacky Japanese!

Give Steve McKinley a call and tell him what you want. It couldn't hurt!

I honestly can't hear the "pop" that people talk about. Is it just a universal problem, or a quality control issue?

Sorry, just got a question about a stock LMB-3.

Thinking about getting one to use with my fretless J. Can you get much of a volume boost from the level knob ? I'm looking to bring up the volume a little to match my fretted P, and add just a little compression.
