BOSS LMB-3 ratio values

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello everyone.

I am using BOSS LMB-3 and I've been trying to figure out roughly what is the ratio when you turn the knob clockwise. I know the end positions are 1:1 (no limiting) to infinity:1 (complete capping) but how does the ratio vary in between? I suppose the pot is logarithmic. It is interesting to know what the ratio is, say, with the knob set at 10 o'clock.
Has anyone tried to run some wave analysis in order to determine this roughly? Right now, I don't have any decent audio interface to feed the signal to a computer, but thought it would be useful for all the LMB-3 users to know roughly at what ratios we work at typical settings.

Just by ear, my wild guess would be that with the ratio knob around 9:30-10:00, the setting I typically use, the ratio is in the 3-5:1 range.

Bump !

I've just got one of these too and am not sure where 2:1 or 4:1 is on the ratio.
