Boss LS-2 question

Sign in to disble this ad
the specs say it can power up other Boss pedals using a daisy chain. My guess is it can power up any pedals using boss-style adaptors, am I right? And if I'd use the proper adaptors, could I power up other types of 9 volt pedals (using tip positive jack-style adaptors)? And how many pedals can you power up with an LS-2?

Salut Inconnu,

Yes to the first question, I've done it and it worked fine. I'm not sure I understand the second question. As for the last, you can power as many pedals as you want, but the total current draw must not exceed 200 mA. Here's link to the owner manual

Most pedals are 9v center negative, which is what comes off the boss. I've usually heard that referred to as negative tip, but I may be mistaken.

Most pedals will run off of an LS-2, the exceptions will usually be high voltage EHX pedals, tube pedals, digital singles, or multi effects pedals. IME.

You can only power a couple pedals off the Ls-2. The 1 spot or godlyke will give you 10 or more pedals depending on their power requirements. they also have a bunch of adaptors available for very cheap so you can power center positive or other uncommon pedals.
