| I have had the ME20B for about 2 months-- bought it as soon as it got to my Guitar Center. Let me tell you- this pedal has got the easiest to learn and use interface I've ever seen on a multi-effect. There are two ways to write patches and they are both super-simple. The manual took me all of 15 minutes to read- it's that short- and then I knew everything this pedal can do. It doesn't pile on avante guarde effects you won't use either like a ME50B or the bigger one-- just usable, palatable stuff.
How does it sound? The sounds are in there, just waiting to be tweaked for your specific bass and needs. High-quality sounds, the evelope filter is the best I've heard on a multi-effect. Good distortions, flanger, phaser-- the synths need to be tweaked, especially the distortion, if you're not a metal play (I'm not), but the synths are there too. Actually with this pedal I like to build my own synths rather than tweak theirs. The effects might not be COSM, but they're definately Boss and many of them are better than singular stomps of the same effect.
The kicker is even with 3 pedals and an expression it's TINY for a multi. And it's built like a tank, even sturdier than the ME50B. Actually, I shopped the ME50B when I found this pedal and I opted for this one because I saw it as an improvement in some ways, namely for ease of use, size, and sturdiness. The size is important to me because I use other stomps and need the room on my pedal board.
All in all, I'd suggest this pedal to any hobbyist or pro looking for a small-sized multi effect to add to an existing pedal board to give you some sound options and round out what few effects might be missing, as in my case. If you want your multi to be your only pedal, however, I'd say look into one of the 2 bigger Boss pedals as they have everything but the kitchen sink.
