Boss ME-50B (Video Review!)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, just picked up a ME-50B for a steal, figured I'd start work on a full detailed video review. This is part 1, and covers the Filter/Tone pedal on the board.

Thought that this would be a good reference for anyone considering to buy the pedal, check it out and let me know what you think, and how I can improve Part 2!

Thanks

Cool! I've always wondered how one of these sounded. Thanks for posting!

I was literally just on bossarea.com two minutes ago looking at the multiple bass effects, then I thought, I never see anything about these on talkbass! now I do!

I really like mine, it's super straight forward and easy to use. The "Metal" distortion is very on point with Cliff Burton's tone on Anesthesia, and the "Chorus/Reverb" option, when dialed in correctly, is *very* close to the tone in 46&2 by Tool as well as Screams of the Butterfly by Acid Bath. I'm not a huge effects user, but it works for me.

Thanks!

Any suggestions for no.2? I'll be doing the Drive/Synth section. Is there anything you want me to do differently?

You did it well the first time round, do it the same way again and that would be awesome

THIS one works! Sorry about that, not sure why the audio cut out on the other one...

Awesome video demonstration on the distortion channels. they sound awesome. I can hardly wait until you make a video demonstration on the modulation effects.

Hopefully, if I don't have too much homework, it'll be up tomorrow night!
