Boss ME-8B

I'm a very picky bass effects user. I love synths, overdrives, fuzzes in combinations with choruses and delays. I've had many many pedals, Mutron III (still have), Aguilar Octaimzer (still have) EHX Micro Bass synth, Bassballs, Chunk Systems Brown Dog, VT Bass, Mutron Phasor II, and so on that have left. It scares me, and I was very resistant to it, but perhaps I've getting lazier but my ears tell me I have had the best time effects wise with the Boss ME-8B pedal. I dialed in a KILLER synth sound that I love, some real good bass od's and fuzzes, and the ability to preset and combine just floors me. I have never used any processor that was easier to use, delivered such rich sounds digitally (and yes, I tried the Akai Deep Impact probably in a bad setting, ten years ago and thought it to be too expensive for what it was). I've never been a multi-effect guy, but apparently I've become one. It sounds good, is very tweakable, user friendly and I don't need half the stage for my floor board. I've heard/said all the arguments about having individual pedals because they are more user friendly, but after really diving into this pedal, I'd disagree with past self and anyone else. Maybe it's multi effects in general or just this model but I'm having a great time using it. I like it more than I thought I would/perhaps should but I do. I hope this empowers people who feel the same but are afraid to admit that multi-effects are just easier and have the ability to get just as good a sound. I've liked combining different effects to get sounds, but I feel they've never meshed well, not as well as a mutli effect unit. I might feel different in a week so I'm not a full convert but today, I really like this pedal and encourage anyone to check it out. I got mine for $100, cheaper than any one trick pony I bought in years. I'm not calling it the holy grail, but I've really digging it.

Soundclips

I figured out how to use my recorder and made some clips. I was inspired because there was one in the classifieds recently. Here they are, dry and synth.
