I'm looking for a noise gate and this is in my price range. Has anyone here used one and if so, is it a good pedal? |

You can put it at a specific point in your chain or you can put your fx in its loop, so that your clean signal determines whether it's open or not, instead of your wet signal.
Also it has two modes - off/suppress or suppress/mute.

I keep my tuner first, and then run the balance of my pedals in a loop into the NS-2, using this as a gate and a mute. It can affect your tone depending on where you set the threshold. You need to use it, experiment, and find out what works for you.

Some of the pickup combinations are fairly quiet and some are quite noisy so I'm looking for a solution for live and recording that mutes that single coil hum. |
