boss oc-2, anyone use them?

Sign in to disble this ad
hey, i currently use an EH octave multiplexor, the tracking is pretty good, but i am going for a simpler to dial in sound, i like the idea of having the option of going one or two octaves below and ive heard the sound on the boss oc-2 and it sounds more "synthy" which is what im interested in, does anyone ahve any experience with these?

id be combining it with a crybaby 105q, pretty much my only effects.

the oc-3 is not attractive to me, i have no use for the drive, and to me less is better as long as i can get the sound in my head.

I have one... Love it. The only thing that sounds better is my Deep Impact...

Chris Wolstenholme uses one as well. He primarily uses it with fuzz, like in starlight.

I use one too. I almost never use the 2nd octave though. Also, it doesn't track that well in the lower register, but it sounds really cool when it freaks out. It is more of a synth sound-especially when you blend out the bass tone and just use the octave.

nice, i may pick one up for cheap on ebay...the two octaves below is intense, but i bet you can get some crazy sounds from playing up around the 15th-20th fret and having that on, you could play notes so fast...hmmm the possibilities

I might be interested in selling mine. I seldom use it, but it is fantastic when I do. I got a NOS OC-2 a few months ago, in box for $130...

I'd sell it in new condition for around $75. The pedal is mint.

Yea, I found mine in a display case at a hole in the wall music shop, new in box, wrapped in plastic... I stepped on it maybe 20 times... Still have the box and all.

Great pedal, but I don't use it enough. I might try it out more.
