As far as I know, there isn't even a yellow LED in the ODB-3...
I don't own one but have played with them several times in shops, and have just this minute read the owners manual on the Boss website, nothing about yellow LEDs in there.
Did you buy it new, or is it second hand? Maybe the previous user had modded it without you realising?

EDIT - Oops, apologies, I was mixing up who was the OP!
Sorry Gozu, I see your actually agreeing with me!

Seems like something a bit weird has gone on with this pedal.

Did you buy it used or new? How long have you had the pedal? My guess is a bad component, and the pedal will have to be repaired I'd maybe ask over at diystompboxes.com if no one on here knows the fix.

The reason I asked it there are chances that some one had messed with it, there is always that chance. The only problem I've had with bosses over the years is their power jacks can get flaky and you have to check the connections between the power jack the the circuit board. This doesn't sound like that to me though. To me it sounds like a bad part and of a loose solder connection somewhere or somewheres.

The ODB has just impressed my, as I put it into a paralel FX-Chain with the clean signal mixed in and I just cranked it up to find out, how it works and what came out of the speakers was the Fuzz tone, that I was searching for since I can remember that I wanted a Fuzz...
So on our last rehearsal, we ended up playing Muse Song, after Muse Song, after Muse Song, which was pretty cool
