Boss pedals and aux power.

I made a power chain from Radio Shack parts and hooked it up to a few Boss pedals (with the Boss AC adapter). Works like a charm, but I've never set them up and left them in order before (not much of an effects guy, don't have a board yet).

Anyway, I've noticed that when I turn the power on (amp and pedal adapter are on one powerstrip) all the pedals come on, even if I switched them off before shutting everything down.

Is this normal? I figured a stomp box was a basic on/off gate that wouldn't matter whether there was supply or not.

Yeh its normal for most boss pedals, i dont know the science behind it because im not a pedal builder but i own a few boss pedals and so do my band and most (not all) do it. I think my LS-2 is the only one i have that doesn't come on, but its down to which pedals you have, i know the Delays definitely come on.

These were the ODB-3 and AW-3. Cool thanks.

The only thing that sucks about it is I need to reset the autowah tempo each time. Not a big deal, but when I get it perfect, I'd like to leave it that way. I guess if I leave the power on it will stay set.
