Also, the harmony choices are, im sorry, stupid. It would be much better if they would be like on PS-3, so you can choose ANY pitch from +/-1 semitone, to full 2 octaves. Detune modes are really good, specially that whammy bar, still want it on my board.
Also, it can be a tremolo - switch 2 octaves down and tap the pedal as you play, really works (unless you have a rig that pulls below 20hz, then it will become a wall crushing machine).
No matter these good aspects of pedal, still, for pitch shifting my choice was Whammy. Cheaper, sounds better, a classic. But still i want PS-3, someday i will win that bid war on ebay!

| | | | okay thanks for your reply!
it seems really hard to get a ps-3 due to the unavailablity anyway i was hoping to find thick and deep chorus sounds and psychedilistic sounds with a pitch shifter |

| | | | I suggest getting a separate chorus pedal. |

| | | | and which one?
i'm looking after a sound inspired by jeff caxide from isis, his pedalboard doesn't contain any chorus, he acheived his sound with a delay and a pitch shifter I assume.
Anyway, if there's a chorus pedal sounding kinda like that type of chorus it's okay for me! |

I also just picked up a ps-5 yesterday for a steal, and it has a not too bad chorus on it. That being said I didn't try it out on bass yet, but on guitar it was quite nice. Plus the ps-5 has tonnes of different modes, all somewhat glitchy, but super cool nonetheless

But pair it up with a volume pedal or some mad knob skills you can get some nice organ swells. I don't think I would ever pay full price for it since I already have a digitech whammy, but i am glad I picked it up nonetheless

or try a DD-7, the modulate mode might be a chorus sound you like |

Dont buy chorus pedal if you want that tone, because it wont be the same. If you want to sound like Jeff, you need PS-3/PS-5/Whammy and a reverb, prefereable RV-3, which Jeff uses himself. And since Wavering Radiant, some delay, i guess.
And yes, Whammy does the thing!
But anyway, go PS-3.
