Boss PS-5 Super Shifter

I'm thinking of buying a Boss PS-5 Pedal, but I was just wondering who else uses it and what they like/dislike about it before I go ahead and buy it. Thanks for any input.

A lot of people here sing high praises of the PS-3 for it's craziness, but I don't know a lot about the PS-5. IIRC a couple of reviews said it was a decent pitch shifter, but you needed the exp. pedal to utilize its full potential.

I'll second that, I've played both, and think the PS-3 is MUCH better. They still fetch pretty high prices on ebay. You can use the PS-3 with an expression pedal as well.

That being said, I sold mine, because I really never had a use for it in a band. More of a novelty item for me. I actually used it as a chorus more often than anything else, using the double detune setting.
