Also, it was just announced, so I doubt many outside of the company have had a chance to play with it.

Very interesting, I use the previous Harmonist (HR-2 I think) with guitar for gigs where I'm afraid things might get spilled on my board. It does two different pitches at the same time...I think the only Boss pedal to do so. Tried using it on one gig with a bass but the sound is really unusable unless you put effects after it. I'll prob get this one at some point.

All I want is a simple 3rd. Haven't been able to find a Boss box that does it (S-5 does a flatted third if I remember correctly). I don't want to be limited to major or minor keys, or have to choose what key I'm playing in. I want a simple, stupid 3rd. The Digitech Whammy can do it, it also weighs 75 pounds and takes up 3 square feet on a pedal board. I want to get rid of my Whammy some day - all I need is a pedal that does simple harmonies. As far as I know, none of the Boss pedals do a simple 3rd - maybe this one will.

Major 3rd. Maybe I was too dumb to operate the PS5? (I also thought it sounded more artificial than the Whammy). However, I am tired of lugging the Whammy just because it does one thing that I like.

Could be that the Whammy likes my other pedals more than the Boss did??? YMMV.

The PS-5 can indeed go up a major 3rd in Harmonist mode.

I'm thinking of buying the pedal, its now being listed on ebay. Anyone have any demos, or shall I be one of the first to rush in and buy it without knowing its bass capabilities?

I'd like to know if there is a big difference in this one, and the previous offering. It seems like the ps-5 did more, but maybe the ps-6 does it better?

I had a ps-5 and I liked it, but it got traded when I went the no effects route awhile back. Now I am back on my effects kick
