Boss PS3 Question

Thinking of buying one of these pedals
I'm pretty sure this pedal can do the Whammy octave up if you plug in an expression pedal to it. (correct me of I'm wrong here)
Does anyone know if you can only plug the Boss expression to it or will the Line 6 expression (or any other makes) work to.
I happen to have the line 6 here collecting dust. It would be cool to use that or buy any used expression pedal that I can find.

It can do an octave up and it can take the line6 exp.

Doesn't matter. It's a different pot value inside, but it doesn't make a real difference.

Just picked up the PS3 and the Line 6 expression doesn't work ?!?
I plugged a moog expression pedal and that worked.

Our old guitarist used an M-Audio expression and the line 6 expression pedal w/ his ps-3...weird!
