BOSS RC-2 loop station

Hi - i am a string bass player, but it seems like the effects discussion happen mostly here re: electric bass.

my question: I just got a RC-2 loop station; and i have figured out some of it; but --

my loop playback cuts out after what seems to be the same amount of time that i spent recording it. i want it to just keep looping. what to do?

Are you recording it in the One-shot patch?

i don't think i am recording it on the one shot. is that good or bad?
