Boss RC-50 Potentially broken...?

Sign in to disble this ad
So I have a Boss RC-50. When my parents moved the removal guys lost the Roland power adapter it came with, AND the Boss AC Power Supply I got as spare. I bought another Boss AC Power Supply (same one as the spare; PSA-240, recommended by Boss), and it's being strange. Today I had my RC-50 plugged in and running, not doing anything with it, and a few times it made that horrible pop sound like when a PA overloads or something, and shut off.

No idea why it's doing this but I'm worried it's getting damaged. Not had a chance to test it again since earlier but I'm a bit worried!
