Not IMO. I tried the "pro" version and it was no good for bass, so I'd be reluctant to throw any money at the "cheaper" version.

ahh that reviews confusing the version i got is an 80s one which he says are good but doesn't like the newer ones?

"He" is me. Both versions are from the 80's, there are no newer ones that I know of. I don't recall saying I liked either of them.
