Question Boss RV-3 Reverb/Delay

Sign in to disble this ad
i got this pedal on sat and have searched and searched both here and the Google madness and have found two sound clip videos and no info otherwise for BASS. Anyone either own it or have experience with it and what are your takes and/or recc. Thanks in advance fellow low-enders!

I owned one of these a few years back, great pedal. No real recommendations specifically for bass - as with all pedals that do reverb and/or delay it will work well with any source, bass included. Just try some settings to see what works for you...

wow that was a fast response! I've tried a few with delay at about 400ms ish with slight reverb and get a very Tool ( Disposition ) like sound. I might have to actually learn this bassline now to prove it. back to my bassroom in the morning!

Mode 7

I usually set the mix around 1 or 2 o clock

I use it in combination with my PS-3 to make lush aquarium music.

it's a really handy pedal, very versatile. it's digital so you get a very clean delay, and it has a good selection of reverbs.

you can do everything from tight, rhythmic One Of These Days-esque lines to weird droney ambient stuff, and everything in between.

RV-3 and PS-3 are my favourite Boss pedals of all time. Buy them.

I always have the first detune knob at 11 o'clock and then adjust the 2nd to the point right before it gets too wobbly. It can get a little bit of a weird flange-esque tone but without the sweep. thats normally where I keep it.

Mix around 12 or 1

Used one at home for recording. Live for bass I only found one sound I liked, CANNON!
By muting the low string and slapping it a loud cannon like boom was produced, used for the breakdown in my friend's anthem type song it always produced a what the f***??? look from the audience.

mode 7 is truly epic now that i have spent some decent time with this pedal. all the modes are good in their respective rights IMHO. either +1 on a great little pedal.
