What's everyone's opinion on this reverb pedal? What reverbs have you tried that are better or worse than this one?

My Fav reverb of all time is my good ol Boss RV-2 Digital Reverb. It sounds WAY warmer and more spacious yet defined compared to the RV-5.

better and worse are in the ears of the player. you must listen, and decide.

I agree, that's why I'm posing the question to you guys. I'm interested in your opinions.

The best reverb I've ever had is the Iron Ether Nimbus. Great reverb with a clean blend and high-pass filter that prevents your sound from getting muddy like some reverbs do. It can cover a lot of ground like all IE pedals.

I mainly use it use it with clean at max, reverb and high-pass set low, this way the higher I play on the neck, the more reverb I get. Awesome for playing quiet melodic passages during breakdowns and solos.

Electro Harmonix Cathedral is good if you're looking for more options. If you just want something basic I'd go with the Holy Grail. These of course are just my preferences.

The spring reverb model in the RV-5 is excellent. I like it better than the stock room, hall, plate etc. found in most other reverb pedals. Then again, the RV-3 is lush with room reverb mixed with the delay. Stadium sound on a budget (for guitar).

I have an RV-3 and it's pretty cool. The only thing I don't like about it is that the delay seems to come after the reverb... Still a cool pedal tho
