Never liked reverb on bass that much...until I heard ISIS's bassist use it the way I would love it! Such an eerie sounding pedal. I just had to try it out.
I got it here on TB for a great deal and great condition so I'm glad I found it here.
Imo, a great sound for those creepy songs you have in mind
Recorded with Fender Jazz w/ Dimarzio Model J's and Audere preamp.
Towards the end, you'll hear the other settings. http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7672713 |

7 is my personal favorite. So many eerie tones available. And I don't have it on hand to double check, but either 8 or 9 (one of the first few reverb only settings) allows for a completely wet signal, with no original note, just reverb decay that is awesome for super spacey stuff.
I love this pedal.

i like it, but that was a horrible explanation
I've figured when he uses his flanger and his ps-3 but I'm still getting used to this "Where's Waldo" for effects. lol |

I'm on a delay quest and when I get the funds to buy one it's gonna happen,...the RV-3 is definitely on my radar now. |

however the 'cult' thing baffles me as i think its brilliance was in its versatility and convenience, not its sound. i don't think there was any magic to the sound of it, it was just a good combination of various reverbs and clean digital delay.
if you're a 'tone' purist you could get better results using other stuff IMO, but probably not all in one pedal. if that makes sense |

I for one do. Some people like the warmer sounds other reverbs/delays have. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
