Boss sd-1 on bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a boss odb-3 but i am not very happy with it. I would like something that is warmer but i want a boss pedal so it will fit in my bcb-30 pedal board. I was looking at the guitar od's from boss and the sd-1 is the only they describe as "warm". Also ive seen other bassist use this pedal. If anyone has experience with this pedal or has another boss option then please post.

I use a Boss SD1 for mild medium overdrive and to push the other pedals over the top, there is a little bit of low end loss but not nearly as drastic as many gtr voiced fuzz pedals.

mod it

Search for the SD-1 to Fulltone mods, it is like 16 parts. Took me an hour and a half or so and WOW, love that little SD-1 now.
