Evenin'!
Has anyone used one of these on bass?
What are they like?
I picked one up form cash converters for £14.99 today, never heard one before but i thought Boss overdrive in perfect condition is too good a deal to miss.
Was i right or is this a piece of rubbish?

They are voiced very similar to a tube screamer, but they use asymmetrical clipping (more even harmonics).

Tube screamer topology usually means a mid range boost, and perceived loss of bass.

I have an old MIJ SD-1, but I don't think I've tried it on bass.

If you already bought it, why don't you try it out and tell us?

Yeah!
I got it yesterday but because my band are gigging all the time it takes a while before i can test new stuff out through my proper amps.
So i was just wondering if anyone on here had any experiences with it.

i liked it... but i only used it through headphones.. it sounded fizzy to me.. lost some bass.. but i roll off a lil bass on my head so it didnt bother me much. as far as ts clones ive liked my hematoma the most.

I'm listening to the clips on your band's MySpace. Are you using the SD-1 on any of those songs?
