boss syb-3

First, let it be known, I like most boss pedals.
Just puttin' it out there.
They can be had cheap and, in many cases, can introduce us to a certain type of effect b4 we upgrade. Having said that, I have a syb-3. Groovey little stomp. I may, however, use it 2-3x a night/gig max. So I'm not interested in spending a ton of bread on another pedal.
My problem lies in its tracking. I'm in no way jaco/steve harris fast, but @ times it lags or just misses.
Antone have exp. W/ the syb-5? Any other stomps that can be had in the used boss price range worth looking @?
Thanx in advance 4 the info and blame the spelling on the beers...

SYB-5 is not very good at tracking, either. What sounds do you want/need? Hard to recommend another pedal if we don't know that.

Thanx for quick reply. The syb seems to give me the 80's keyboard cheesy synth that I can incorperate into our set. Kinda the feel I'm lookin to replicate.

i'd stick with it. the tracking isn't great, but if you play it right, it does really sound like an analog synth.
