Boss TU-15 tuner problem

Sign in to disble this ad
I am using a Boss TU-15 tuner on my pedal board. I am using it with a 9V 300mA adapter. I am getting this annoying high pitch squeal coming from the unit. It's not loud but enough of a tone that it is setting off the tuner and apparently is close to a B note as indicated on the tuner.
When I use batteries, it goes away. I leave it on throughout the show so batteries aren't going to work.
I looked at the Boss website and it indicated this tuner only draws 55 mA max.
The Boss adapter (outrageous at $31.00) is a 9v 500 mA adapter, so a 300 mA shouldn't be a problem.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
