I've lately been having some unwanted noise from my board and after testing every pedal and cable one one by one (yippeee...), I've narrowed down to the pedal I thought least susceptible to be the culprit... my tuner !
Anyone else had that problem ? Cured ? Or am I looking at buying a new one (probably a Korg Pitchblack, 'cause its a space saver).
Current set-up:
BASS > NS2 (send/return: Tuner > BSW > CS-3 ) > PBDDI > Neo Clone > Small Stone > AMP

Are you powering any other pedals off of your TU-2? |

Still working at it and just to make it more fun, problem seems to come and go.

If each pedal is quiet on its own with your bass and amp start adding the other effects one at a time. I'm not sure why you are putting the TU2 in loop of the noise gate as it is a quiet pedal. My guess would be the compressor and the order of your effects is most likely causing the issue.
One of our techs put the TU2 through the frequency analyzer awhile back and found that the buffer on the unit was very good. I've used one for years and have never had a problem with it. |

I checked everything the other day: pedals and cables one by one and the only noise I got came frome the Tuner, which up 'til a short while ago didn't make any (FYI, my SansAmp PBDDI, which I've had for 2 years, is DEAD QUIET, even on overdrive settings). I took it out of the loop, it did help a bit. I'm borrowing a buddy's TU-2 tomorrow, just to push this a little further.

What power supply are you using with it? Have you tried using a battery in the TU-2 and see if the noise goes away? Also if you are using the courtesy DC jack on the TU-2 to power another pedal that can create unwanted noise. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
