Boss TU-2 vs Peterson StroboStomp2

Hello all!! My former drummer just stole my BOSS TU-2 (blegh, my luck) and would like to purchase another BOSS TU-2 but I've been reading up with people praising about the StroboStomp2. I wouldn't mind spending the $ if I know what I am getting. I do have a couple of questions to the people that has experience with this pedal.

1) On the StroboStomp, is there a mute function to the tuner so it will mute my bass on the amp ot let me tune quietly like the TU2?

2) it says it's true by-pass, but isit really?

3) how is it when tuning low b's etc.

Far better than other Korg, Boss, and Sabine tuners I've used.
